The doctors might prescribe you medication to manage incontinence. The medication is works by relaxing the bladder muscles to and stop abnormal contractions.  

Alpha-adrenergic antagonists or blockers help by relaxing muscles, which can improve urine flow. This class of drugs is especially effective for men with enlarged prostate and urge incontinence.

Antidepressants and Oestrogens are also used to help with urge and stress incontinence in women.

Medications work best when used in conjunction with bladder training and pelvic floor exercises.  Each of these incontinence medications affects people differently. You should consult your doctor to determine the best treatment for you.
